TACTI-CAN FAQs

What is Tacti-can?

A collection of miscellaneous objects including a black flashlight, a black plastic cup, a red and white battery, a white charger, a car key with buttons, and a small red and clear warning light.

Tacti-can is a rugged, tactical can cooler built for adventure and practicality. It comes with your choice of multiple base options to match your storage and sipping needs. Tacti-can’s unique design keeps your drink frosty while letting you customize it with our trademark Clix attachments for a fully loaded, hands-free experience.

What’s the difference between Tacti-can and a regular can cooler?

2 men trimming firewood outdoors, one holding a bundle of wood and the other carrying a large stack of firewood. The man carrying the large stack is able to do so because his drink is secured with Tacti-can on his belt clip.

Regular can coolers keep your drink cold. And that’s where the innovation stops. Tacti-can keeps your drink cold and gives you storage, grip, and gear options you didn’t know you needed. The textured grip makes sipping secure, while the snap-on breech ring keeps your can locked in place and makes beverage reloading quick and tactile. With our modular Clix system, you can secure your Tacti-can anywhere and store your essentials alongside it, hands-free and hassle-free.

How do the base options work?

Every base screws securely onto the Tacti-can body and can be swapped easily. All Clix work with all bases. Choose one at checkout. You’ve got three options:

Tiny Tote: Slim, stealthy storage for the small stuff. Built-in magnet keeps Tacti-can locked down against gravity.

Grandma's Purse: Extra room for essentials, cupholder compatible, and magnetic base.

Mary Poppins Bag: Max storage, cupholder-friendly, and built for the overly prepared.

What are Clix?

Tacti-can can cooler with various Clix: Top Hat cap for preventing spills, Side Stick side magnet, Hole-y One carabiner clip, and Stretcher for bungee storage.

Clix are modular accessories that snap on and off your Tacti-can. No tools, no fuss, just an undeniably satisfying click. Choose from hooks, magnets, storage, clips, and more to keep your drink and essentials right where you need them. Clix are sold separately, so you can build your loadout your way.

How do I attach or remove Clix?

Each Clix snaps into the rectangular mounts on Tacti-can’s body and locks in place with a click. To remove, press the tab at the base with your thumb and push upward. No tools required!

How many Clix can I use at once?

Person wearing black pants has a Tacti-can can coozie attached to their waist with a belt clip. Tacti-can is holding their phone securely with a its Stretcher Clix accessory.

Tacti-can supports up to four Clix at a time. Mix, match, and swap them out to suit your mission, whether that’s camping, tailgating, or just surviving another Monday.

Is Tacti-can compatible with all cans?

Tacti-can is currently designed for standard 12 oz cans. We’re expanding the lineup soon, so stay tuned for new sizes.

Does Tacti-can fit in a cupholder?

Depends on your setup. The Tiny Tote base is a bit wider than the other bases, so it might not fit all cupholders, especially if you’re loaded up with Clix. If cupholder-ability is important to you, try the Grandma's Purse or Mary Poppins Bag bases.

Is Tacti-Can insulated?

Tacti-Can minimizes contact with your can, reducing heat transfer. Less touchy = more coldy.

Is Tacti-can for the outdoors or everyday use?

Both. Whether you’re camping, tailgating, working in the shop, or avoiding lukewarm drinks at your desk, Tacti-can’s built to adapt to every operation.

Is Tacti-can dishwasher safe?

No. Hand wash only with dish soap and water. Tactical gear deserves a gentle touch.

Does Tacti-can make a good gift?

Absolutely. It’s the thing people never knew they needed because it never existed - until now. Perfect for that hard-to-shop-for friend, the office secret Santa, or anyone who’s ever sipped something from a can. Add our Essentials Clix package for extra gift-giving glory.

How do I clean Tap Buddy?

Person wearing orange gloves using a lint roller to pick up pet hair or debris from a black plastic trash can lining.

To clean out the shavings, remove the cap and brush holder, then pull out the strainer. Hold it above the body to let the fluid drain, tap gently over a trash can, and reassemble. It is not necessary to remove all shavings from the strainer, but periodically emptying the bulk of them will improve Tap Buddy’s performance. If emptying Tap Buddy for long-term storage, gently wash all components by hand with warm water and dish soap, being mindful of any remaining shavings. Use a rag or small brush to dislodge shavings from the strainer if needed. Always wear gloves and handle components with care to avoid injury.
